VP/Director-Finance and Business Development

A leading provider of specialized software, services, and information for the property and casualty insurance industry is looking for a VP/Director of Finance and Business Development. This person will be responsible for all financial aspects of AMS Services, supporting the President in making key decisions. This is a leadership role in a planning and objective setting to include budgeting and forecasting, performance metrics, accounting, financial statements, internal management reporting, U.S. GAAP, reporting, financial analysis, and incentive plans. The Director will interface with the CFO on strategic matters of accounting and financial reporting and ensure integrity and timeliness of financial statements. This position leads all accounting activities including revenue recognition, recording all expenses (accruals and timely and accurate close information), reviews and explains significant account variances when comparing (actuals, budgets, and forecasts of budgeting and forecasting), leads budgeting and forecasting as well as financial reporting and development of consolidated information, prepares and manages (annual budgets, monthly forecasts of revenue and expenses, and capital and cash flows), establishes realistic performance standards, manages short and long-range financial planning and capital forecasting.

A Batchelor?s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is required. An MBA and CPA designation are desired, but are not required. Candidates must have a minimum 10 years of relevant finance experience with a minimum 5 years of experience working in a Director-level role. Experience working in the software industry will be helpful, but is not a must. Experience with forecasting tools such as Hyperion, excellent spreadsheet skills, experience working with larger ERP platforms such as Oracle and PeopleSoft as well as demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills are required.
