VP Finance & Accounting

This digital technology leader serving the entertainment industry is in need of a Vice President of Finance and Accounting at the company's Corporate Office in Agoura Hills. Reporting to the CFO, this position will oversee the accounting, finance, budget, treasury, and tax operations and play an instrumental part in the company’s expansion. Specific responsibilities include the oversight of worldwide accounting operations, including the monthly close process for US and international entities, ensuring that financial reporting is timely, insightful, and meets the needs of all levels of management, and continually monitoring SEC, FASB, International, and other accounting policies and pronouncements. Additionally, this position will provide oversight of all external (SEC) and internal reporting, advise the Board of Directors and Executive Management of new accounting principles or laws, and provide oversight of worldwide tax strategies, compliance, and accounting. He/She will monitor revenue transactions in light of evolving revenue recognition rules and trends and update appropriate corporate policies. Oversight of the quarterly/annual worldwide audits and assistance with merger and acquisition activities including integration of accounting operations are also important duties of this position. The selected candidate will also manage worldwide corporate cash in accordance with the company’s Cash Investment Policy, direct or assist with special projects as needed, and take part in some international travel as required.
