Vice President of Finance

Job Description:


Primary Job Purpose:   

Positively impact The Coleman Company's financial performance by proposing and implementing financial process improvements that support the profitable growth of the company.  Initial focus would be on G&A cost savings opportunities through successful implementation and leveraging of SAP.

Qualifications/Requirements:

· Minimum 4 year degree required, CPA or MBA preferred

· 10 years of progressive operational finance and management experience

· Proven/quantifiable experience in cost reduction through process reengineering experience

· ERP systems implementation and SAP experience is a must

· Demonstrated ability to articulate opportunities for improvements, propose solutions, present to senior management and implement.

· Candidate must possess experience and capabilities necessary to act as a change agent across all functions in the organization

· Self motivated with a high sense of urgency

 

 

Job Requirements:


Job Duties:        

· Financial Reporting--Directs the preparation and delivery of financial reports regarding the financial position of the Company to the CFO and Senior

· Annual Planning--Develops the annual operating plan and expense budget, which set appropriate growth goals for the company.

· Monthly Forecasting--Develops financial strategies and monthly forecasts that provide direction in helping the company meet and exceed financial targets.     

· Analyzes operational issues impacting all functional groups and the organization at large.  Determine their financial impact and recommend actions to optimize performance. 

· Partner with Operations Managers to identify and maximize financial performance.

· Analyzes, consolidates, and directs all cost accounting procedures together with other statistical and routine reports.

· Review and optimize current pricing and systems procedures

· Analyzes studies of general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the organization's policies and operations.

· Evaluates and recommends business partnering opportunities.   

Measurement of Performance:

· Improved financial performance due to successful financial planning and accounting practices.

· Demonstrates good analytical skills and ability to clearly communicate outcome.

· Maintains and executes successful evaluation, negotiation and investigative skills.

· Effective maintenance of operational issues impacting institution.

· Continuous fostering of teamwork environment in fulfilling job objectives.
