Senior Corporate Reporting Accountant

 

The Senior Corporate Reporting Accountant will be reporting to the Manager of Corporate Financial Reporting. The individual in this position will be responsible for helping to prepare the 10Q and the 10K documents for filing with the SEC, performing accounting research in conjunction with other members of the Financial Reporting team, keeping abreast of new accounting pronouncements, and helping with the coordination of the documentation prepared by the business process owners to ensure compliance under Sarbanes-Oxley.


Responsibilities:
Preparation of financial statement footnotes to be included in the 10Q and 10K filings.
Perform accounting research under the direction of the Manager and Director of Corporate Financial Reporting.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors on SOX matters such as planning, scoping, scheduling, walkthroughs, and testing.
Coordinate with business process owners the completion of their documentation for SOX and to help the business process owners identifity control weaknesses.
Help to manage SOX Compliance database (FOCUS) to ensure completion by process owners of new process documentation and any changes to existing documentation within FOCUS.

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
Prior experience with the preparation of SEC filings including the 10K and 10Q preferred.
Understanding of internal control (COSO framework) preferred.
SOX implementation experience preferred.
Ability to work with the Director and Manager of Corporate Reporting to perform accounting research.
Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
Ability to coordinate with business process owners the completion of SOX documentation.
Strong written and oral communication skills
