"Experienced" Mid-Level Accountant/Bookkeeper

We are a very well known and recognizable force within our industry. 

 

 This position is extremely work intensive, and requires the utmost speed, focus and dedication.You will be required to complete your assignment in an efficient manner.  If your workload is unfinished by a particular deadline, you will be required to complete it after hours or on a Saturday.

 

You will be directly reporting to our senior managing accountant and also to our controller.

 

Must be able to follow instructions and work without supervision.

 

You should be well versed with Peachtree Accounts Payable/ Accounts receivable/ and General ledger experience. (you will be tested)

 

You must have extensive excel spreadsheet experience. (you will be tested) 

 

You must have an College Degree in Accounting, preferably cost accounting.  (we will check school references)

 

You must have a good credit history with no criminal record. (We will do a search before hiring)

 

 

You must have the ability to analyze all general ledger accounts, prepare journal entries, and take a small company's reporting to a final profit /loss statement and balance sheet.

 

You will be responsible to enter A/P vendor bills and prepare checks on a weekly basis, or as needed.

 

You will be responsible for recording and processing daily deposits with our bank. The company is a holding company for smaller companies.

 

You will be required to prepare monthly bank reconciliations for some companies.

 

You will be required to prepare daily cash availability reports.

 

You will be responsible for maintaining/updating specialized Accounts Receivable reports. 

 

You will be managing the collection of shipping documents needed for sold items needed for state tax audits.

 

You will be processing quarterly transit check orders with our staff.



You will be responsible for other duties on an "as needed basis"
