staff acct @ publicly traded corp in LOOP

$$$ BILLION PUBLICLY TRADED CORPORATION LOCATED IN THE LOOP NEEDS A STAFF ACCOUNTANT TO HELP OUT THE LARGE AND GROWING ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT ---AWESOME BENEFITS, TUITION REIMBURSMENT AND VACATION PACKAGE---This position reports to the Manager of Corporate Financial Reporting. The individual in this position will be responsible for helping to prepare the 10Q and the 10K documents for filing with the SEC, performing limited accounting research in conjunction with other members of the Financial Reporting team, helping with the coordination of the documentation prepared by the business process owners to ensure compliance under Sarbanes-Oxley, and additional accounting and reporting activities.


Responsibilities:
Preparation of financial statement footnotes to be included in the 10Q and 10K filings---Perform accounting research under the direction of the Manager and Director of Corporate Financial Reporting---Interface with internal and external auditors on SOX matters such as planning, scoping, scheduling, walkthroughs, and testing---Help to manage SOX Compliance to ensure completion by process owners of new process documentation and any changes to existing documentation---Other accounting and reporting responsibilities as assigned
