This is a part time evening and weekend position.

Primarily responsible for the oversight of the Academic Support Center in the absence of the Assistant Director. Accountable for the coordination of the day-to-day activities of the Academic Support Center. This includes, but is not limited to, the supervision of the staff scheduling process, scheduling of group and individual tutoring sessions, workshop coordination, CRLA re-certification process, and recording and reporting usage statistics.

Program/Service Delivery ? Facilitates delivery of evening and weekend tutoring programs and services ? Serves as liaison to evening and weekend faculty, and other institute constituencies as assigned

Center/Office Operation ? Supervises staff activities concerning scheduling and delivery of services in the absence of the Assistant Director ? Assists in gathering and maintenance of statistics on program use and effectiveness on a weekly, monthly and trimester basis ? In the absence of Assistant Director, responsible for securing facility and equipment ? With the Assistant Director or designee, responsible for staff scheduling and coordination of group and individual tutoring sessions and workshops ? Coordinates time-off request procedures, including assigning substitutions whenever necessary and communicating same with faculty and staff members involved ? Informs Assistant Director of all developments and issues relating to evening and weekend operations ? Provides back-up for retention initiatives whenever appropriate

Personnel Administration ? Assists in hiring, training/development, and performance management of faculty assistants and tutors ? Manages all disciplinary issues in a timely manner ? Ensures staff compliance with policy

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements ? Excellent oral and written communication skills ? Problem-solving and organizational skills ? Ability to interact effectively with all levels of constituents ? Supervisory and administrative skills ? Working knowledge of standard office software ? Bachelor?s degree required (A degree in counseling, adult education, or a related field is preferred)
