Accounting Association seeks Project Manager
Major Accounting Association located in JerseyCity, New Jersey seeks Project Manager for a long term temp position with possible opportunity to go pem.
Duties include:
-Assist the Director and Technical Managers in project management, planning, and all aspects of commitee, task force, and consortia work. This includes the development of operating plans and resource requirements.
-Coordinate with task force and commitee members, and members and staff of the different consortias, on the execution of key deliverables.
-Support task force and commitee members, and members and staff of the consortias, by acting as a liason to the company support teams suc as Creative Directions and printing, mailing, and distribution services.
-Assist in the development an immplementation of communication strategies for department iniatives. This includes internal and external communications.
-Organize meetings, conferences, and other special events.
-Monitor the "business enviroment" for issues and opportunities that effect department initiatives and work for the director to minimize potential conflicts and maximize opportunities.
-Monitor, manage, and prepare budgets on monthly and annual basis.
-Focus on maximizing the effectiveness of team processes.
Requirements:
-Bachelor's Degree with one or two years experience in the accounting profession
-Strong Computer and IT skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and internet research skills
-Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work independently; self starter
-Ability to meet deadlines and perform well in a fast paced environment
-Ability to manage multiple business relationships and resolve conflict in a win-win manner
-Detail oriented and analytical with strong problem solving skills.
-Strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills
-Good verbal and written skills
-Ability to create new and more effective ways of doing things particularly through the use of technology
-Some travel required
