Accounting/Billing Supervisor II

POSITION PROFILE Assists in leading the Key Account team by providing direction and support in handling high priority complex accounts strategic to the marketplace that need specialized billing. Responsible for coordinating the day-to-day workflow of a team of 8-12 non-exempt employees and for supporting specific IKON locations or key accounts within a specific IKON location. Accountable for department policy and procedure and staffing levels. Assist in setting department?s goals and measures performance against those goals. Assures accurate and timely contract billing revenue for IKON. Performs all supervisory duties including hiring, corrective action, training, coaching and counseling.

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Staffs, manages, and motivates tram of up to 8-12 direct reports.


Together with manager sets department goals for service revenue and measures performance.


Develops and implements department policy and procedure.


Assists team members with resolution of key account customer issues and more complex problems.


Coordinates development and training for the department.


Responsible for developing strong working relationships with internal and external customers.


Prepares various reports for senior management.


Accountable for hiring and selection of team members.


Conducts performance appraisals for direct reports.


Tracks and records payroll for direct reports.


Recommends new/improved procedures as needed to improve productivity and skillful job performance.


Monitors and documents daily and/or monthly activities and performance of the team, i.e. billing accuracy, revenue goals, spreadsheet turnaround time, contracts not billed, missing meters, turn around time on customer issues, aged account receivables and contracts not set up as additional items that are monitored.


Responsible for ensuring that excellent customer service is delivered to all internal/external customers at all times.


Performs other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS
Strongly prefer 4-year college degree; Accounting degree is preferred. Will consider previous experience in an accounting/customer billing environment.
Requires minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and/or billing and minimum of 2 years of management or supervisory experience.

PC knowledge and experience are required along with financial aptitude.
