Accounting Processor

This entry-level position, under supervision, is responsible for computing, classifying, recording and verifying numerical data for the use of maintaining accounting records.  This position relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.  Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment and typically reports to a supervisor or manager.  This position will include, but not be limited to:

 

- Inputs reinsurance receipts and disbursements into HOMER/RSG reinsurance system;

- Verifies HOMER/RSG input (vouchers) to bank account activity on a dialy basis;

- Distributes and files HOMER/RSG receipt and disbursement vouchers;

- Balances monthly cash receipt and disbursement activity for interface to general ledger;

- Assists with updating HOMER/RSG foreign exchange rates; and

- Prepares some general journal entires.

 

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong analytical and interpersonal skills; experience with Great Plains Accounts Payable and G/L system a plus; ability to maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data; keeps supervisor informed of activities and situations, which will impact the achievement of corporate adn department goals and objectives; performs other related duties as required to achieve the goals and objectives of the Company and department; and good organization skills.
