Administrative Assistant I

HEALTH PARTNERS, a growing, progressive Managed Care Organization serving the Medicaid and Medicare population in Philadelphia and surrounding counties seeks an Administrative Assistant I to join its Provider Affairs Team.  We offer excellent benefits, competitive salaries and a great 401(k) Plan.

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Provide administrative support to the department in general office functions, such as preparing correspondence and reports, scheduling appointments and meetings and maintaining department?s files.

 KEY REQUIREMENTS:  High School diploma or equivalent.  2-3 years secretarial or administrative experience.  Proficient in Microsoft Office products.  Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills.  Excellent interpersonal skills.  Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.  Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.  

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:  Prepares correspondence for edit, review and signature.  Proofreads correspondence and reports for accuracy.  Schedules appointments and tracks them on electronic or paper calendar.  Receives, screens and directs incoming phone calls.  Types letters forms, reports and memos.  Maintains filing system.  Distributes incoming mail and prepares outgoing mail.  Orders supplies for department.  Provides back-up coverage for Receptionist.  Performs all other tasks that may be required for position.
