A prominent Retiree Health Fund located in Detroit, Michigan is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant, reporting directly to the Executive Director. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for all clerical and administrative support functions for both the Executive Director and the Board of Trustees. Specific responsibilities include preparing agendas, establishing and maintaining filing systems, responding to basic inquiries from Trustees and other outside entities such as beneficiaries of the Fund, ordering office supplies, and overseeing the maintenance of office equipment. 

 

The ideal candidate must have at least seven years relevant administrative experience and a Bachelor?s degree. Experience in a Taft-Hartley or collectively bargained environment is preferred. Superb interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task are a requirement. He or she must also be proficient with current technology including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Project and Visio.
