Administrative Assistant/Sales Coordinator

Best Restaurant Equipment & Design Co. was founded in 1987. We specialize in layout design and specify turnkey restaurant equipment with our primary focus on casual dining chain restaurants such as Applebee?s, Steak -n- Shake, Houston?s and many others. We also provide furniture packages, supply smallware packages and customized re-order programs.


We are seeking an experienced administrative assistant who possesses the enthusiasm and drive to work in our demanding and fast-paced sales organization.


The main duties of this position are:


-Coordinating delivery and installation of jobs

-Arranging for temporary laborers for job sites when necessary

-Preparing jobs for billing within a specified time table

-Processing pack lists for jobs

-Processing and thoroughly documenting all vendor purchase order changes and customer contract 

 change orders

-Researching and resolving all job related discrepancies

-Writing up purchase requisitions, assigning freight carriers and verifying credit approvals

-Helping with service related problems with equipment

-Taking orders for merchandise via the telephone

-Assist sales to ensure timely resolution of daily workflow

-troubleshooting and resolving issues on job site



The successful candidate should possess:

 

-A minimum of 2-5 years of administrative assistant experience, preferably within a sales environment

-Superior organizational skills and ability to multi-task

-Ability to juggle multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail

-Ability to handle stress and work in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment

-A positive can-do attitude with a flexible team player spirit

-Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

-Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

-Detail oriented customer service skills with emphasis on follow up and follow through

-College degree preferred

 

Candidates with these additional skills will receive special consideration:

-AS/400 experience

-Previous experience in preparing freight for international projects including Certificates of Origin, as well as previous experience communicating with international customers and freight forwarders
