Administrative Assistant - Tax Department

We are currently looking for a Administrative Assistant - Tax to join our Tax group at our corporate headquarters in downtown Ft Lauderdale, Fl.

 BASIC PURPOSE

 Provide organizational support and coordination for all Tax Department functions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Copy and process income/sales/property tax returns with or without payments.Prepare W-9 Forms Prepare Resale Certificates issued to vendors and maintain logSort, log and distribute incoming/outgoing mail including certified mailers and FedExPrepare spreadsheets/copies/faxesUpdate and maintain tax due date checklists for income/sales/property taxesTrack check requests and incoming checks Maintain tax files (sorting, filing, prepare binders, labels, etc.)Special projects as needed Order department supplies / arrange or confirm travel arrangements / meetingsCommunications with vendors, customers, and store personnel

 EDUCATION

 High School Diploma or equivalent

 EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS

 3 years prior experience in a corporate tax department or public accounting firmKnowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Lotus NotesExcellent organizational skillsExcellent communication skills
