We are currently seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant for our Utilization Management department. 

 

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for all administrative functions for the management staff of the Utilization Management department.  Respond to telephone inquiries concerning Prior-Authorization and Pharmacy Member Services issues with discretion and professionalism.  Research and respond to inquiries from members and management.  Act as a liaison with office services/building management on office needs and control supplies.  Maintain staff attendance via Kronos system.  Type, maintain, and initiate letters and memos as well as statistical reports, tables, and spreadsheets.  Conduct Internet searches for medical/pharmacy guidelines and articles.  Maintain all files and correspondence and schedule appointments/meetings.

 

Qualifications:

 Minimum of 2 years as an Administrative Assistant or related experience required and college degree preferredStrong typing skills with minimal error rate and intermediate skill level in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet research requiredPrevious experience working with retail/mail order pharmacies and/or physician offices a plusFamiliarity of medical CPT codes, ICD codes and/or pharmacy claims a plusMust be able to work independently and a team playerGood business writing & effective interpersonal communication skillsMust be organized, detail-oriented, work well under pressure and able to multi-task and prioritize work assignments
