Administrative Assistant for lucrative sales team
Perform routine secretarial/administrative support and general office duties for an assigned area, manager or group of individuals.
Major Responsabilities: Assignments involve work of a confidential nature and require a basic knowledge of the practices and procedures of the department/function, and may work on various projects as assigned. Schedule and arrange meetings (may include breakfast and lunches). Maintain calendars and daily schedules, may include conference room schedules. Work with standard spreadsheets, databases and word processing software. Type letters and memos, assemble information, prepare reports/presentations, agendas, manuals, correspondence and memoranda. Order supplies, set up, organize and maintain office filing systems, which may include confidential data. Interface with various Managers, or internal and external contacts on issues both routine and moderately complex. Typically reports to Supervisor/Manager/Director levels and provides support to department.
Education and Experience: Secretarial school graduate or High school graduate with a minimum of 1-3 years experience in a professional business environment, with at least 1 year preferred as a secretary/assistant OR recent college graduate with exposure to an office environment
Skills/Knowledge: Typing skills (55 wpm or better). Must be very computer literate, have a working knowledge of MicroSoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint, MS Project), familiarity with the Internet, online research, and experience in interacting with various levels of staff.
*This position would be ideal for someone who wants to eventually move into a finanancial investment product sales position.
