Administrative Asst/Operations Associate

Job Description

Responsible for all aspects of the company?s purchasing and for coordinating all facets of company-sponsored events.  Must be able to evaluate and solve service problems.  Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate with other departments, branches, and vendors.  Has a superior working knowledge of Microsoft Office.  May research the Internet and make recommendations for event locations, vendors, etc.  May travel to prospective locations, other sales offices or other sites for seminars and conferences, as needed.RECENT COLLEGE GRADUATES WELCOME!!!! Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

?  Processes purchase orders, confirms deliveries, and reconciles purchasing discrepancies

?  Confirms that services or purchases meet company expectations and works with Accounting Dept. to process payment of invoices in a timely fashion

?  Negotiates with vendors to minimize the cost and maximize the quality

?  Monitors phone and data bills, discount plans and services

?  Coordinates all facets of company-sponsored events

?  Accurately estimates cost, time and resources for a specific project or purchase

?  May make recommendations on how to improve overall quality or cost of products or services

?  Provides feedback to appropriate departments, branches or managers

?  Assists with telecommunication services for all locations, including installations, repairs, add-ons, beepers, cell phones, etc.

?  May assist with contract negotiations, bid evaluations and vendor selection

?  Maintains department records, such as contracts, projects, vendor profiles, etc.

?  Assists with asset management tracking and retrieving

?  Other duties or projects, as assigned

?  Understands and observes department policies and procedures

?  Understands and observes company policies and procedures.

 Typical Experience:

2 or 4 year degree in business or related field; or 2+ years experience in a purchasing, telecommunications or operations management environment.Reports To:
