Administrative Asst - Permanent Part-Time
We are a small financial planning / investment advisory firm in Huntington Beach with one principal, one permanent part-time employee and one independent contractor. We are seeking another permanent part-time employee to update client account summaries on Excel, improve our client service and to assist in some marketing administration. You are right for this job if you are impeccably honest, love to keep things organized, like being part of a team, and prefer less than full time work in an elegant, quiet office. You will work without supervision once you are trained. You will use Word, Excel and Powerpoint on a regular basis
Hours: Tuesday - Thursday
8:00 - 4:30
Additional hours as required (several Saturday mornings per year)
Description:
This position requires multi-tasking. There are two main areas: 1)Outside Marketing. Set up speaking engagements for the principal and client events. 2) Office. Primary functions are to answer phones, both recorded messages and current calls, assist in completing applications and paperwork required per the client worksheets, and maintain client folders, as well as update the client Excel sheets, Advisor's Assistant (our database), monthly logs, and money manager's log. This includes direct contact with the financial institutions or internet search for the information required.
Must have at least one year's administrative experience in a financial field like financial planning, annuity insurance, or stock brokerage. Please forward salary history. Salary based on experience. **Please be aware that this is only 3 days a week with some saturdays and evenings required.
