Administrative - Executive Assistant - South Boston, MA

Under general direction, provide secretarial and administrative support to supervision and subordinate staff as necessary, and perform a variety of other duties related to the activities of the department, function or business unit as required. Create correspondence, forms, reports and records from rough drafts, general instructions or dictation equipment. Coordinate meeting arrangements by scheduling facilities, supplies, equipment and refreshments; and advising attendees of date, time, place and meeting arrangements. Arrange for business travel, including air and/or ground transportation and hotel accommodations. 




Requires a solid knowledge of English composition and grammar, and sound secretarial and administrative skills, as well as good communication, planning and organizational skills. Must be able to utilize personal computers to accurately perform the full scope of word processing, electronic mail and data base management capabilities, and use other software applications to produce spreadsheets, forms, graphics, presentations and other data related to the  work of the function.  Must also be able to operate typewriters, dictation, duplicating  and facsimile machines, calculators and other office equipment.  May be required to take dictation and transcribe notes. Equivalent to a high school education, plus additional broad specialized training equivalent to two years of college. Three to five years of prior  related experience required.
