An Assistant Research Coordinator works with each IRB Research Coordinator and other IRB office staff to assist in coordinating the daily activities of the IRB. The Assistant Research Coordinator will work under the guidance and supervision of the Research Coordinators in completing the responsibilities delineated below. Ability to work independently and interdependently, as needed. Attention to detail. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize and reprioritize quickly and accurately. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical research procedures. A positive solution-oriented attitude. Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and e-mail is essential. Have flexibility in schedule to attend IRB meetings and work overtime, as needed. Pleasant telephone manner, and the ability to work under deadline pressure while maintaining a sense of humor. Due to the sensitive and/or confidential nature of IRB issues, maturity of judgment, tact, and sensitivity are required for successful job performance. A college degreeApproximately 2 years of office work experience. IRB office or scientific background experience preferred.
