Assistant Licensing Specialist

The Assistant Licensing Specialist is an integral member of the CBIZ Special Risk Licensing Department. The Assistant Licensing Specialist will work directly with over 5000 agents in our producer database as well as the licensing departments of each state and of our 22 carriers. This individual will have the chance to work with multiple departments within the CBIZ Special Risk Insurance group and will have a great deal of input in future process improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

?Verify that all CBIZ producers submitting life insurance applications via CBIZ Special Risk have met all state and carrier requirements;
?Work closely with the Licensing Specialist to develop and implement licensing department best practices;
?Prepare and submit license applications and renewals for resident and non-resident licenses for all CBIZ Special Risk producers;
?Prepare and submit carrier appointments for all CBIZ Special Risk producers;
?Maintain accurate and current database and records for licensing and appointments for CBIZ Special Risk?s producers;
?Develop positive relationships with CBIZ Special Risk life insurance companies, carrier representatives, carrier licensing departments, and state insurance departments;
?Maintain filing system and assist in the development of the licensing department?s records retention policy.

Key Evaluation Factors:

Four year degree required;
Ability to learn new tasks and assimilate information quickly;
