Associate Administrative Assistant
This position engages in a variety of tasks to provide administrative assistance and general support throughout the company. Work requires occasional analysis and use of initiative and independent judgment. May have limited access to sensitive, complex, and confidential information, both inside and outside of company. Operates under close supervision and within the boundaries of established procedures.
Responsibilities:
? Assists with requests for project and clerical support including, but not limited to, new hire set-up, filing, scheduling meetings, move requests, event support, catering, scanning, faxing or copying documents, or processing paperwork.
? Conducts building tours.
? Receives and delivers cross training on all clerical and administrative tasks and functions.
? Provides support for departmental employee programs.
? Promotes and supports the Company Mission and Statement of Philosophy on a daily basis.
? Works collaboratively and effectively within a team of peers.
? Typically requires that incumbents attend work at the office and typically works during business hours (8 am to 5 pm) Monday through Friday.
? Secondary Functions
? Provide backup support to administrative assistant, mail clerk, reception, shipping/receiving and facilities as needed.
? Works on special projects and other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
Requires high school diploma and 1 year of clerical or administrative support experience.
Requires knowledge of basic desktop applications, computer systems including Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software as needed.
Ability to operate basic office equipment such as computers, fax, copy machines, printers, telephone systems, etc.
Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to multiple conflicting priorities, prioritize projects, and analyze processes and to respond to unexpected changes is required.
Requires ability to type with accuracy and speed (approximately 40 wpm).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to represent the company professionally with tact and diplomacy.
Requires discretion and judgment necessary to treat confidential items and assignments appropriately.
May be required to work part or full time in a local satellite facility.
Some portions of job may require extended sedentary periods and extended periods of keyboarding. Also requires travel within and between buildings, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, and the ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
Must possess a valid drivers license, be able to drive company vehicle and possess a clean driving record.
Requires visual acuity.
Infrequent local travel may be required.
Must be able to understand and balance business deliverables and imperatives with cultural commitments as articulated in the Company?s Mission, Statement of Philosophy, Vision, and Values.
