BUSINESS OFFICE ASSISTANT

The Wolfsonian-Florida International University, a museum and research center located in the heart of historic south Miami Beach, is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to work in our Business Office.

Duties include administration and processing of the following transactions:
? Accounts payable and accounts receivable
? Vendor relations
? Contracts, requisitions and purchase orders
? Travel-related paperwork and documentation
? Corporate credit card charges and reimbursements
? Payroll issues
? Keep track of deadlines for payables, receivables, rent, insurance, grants, etc
? Serve as liaison between museum business office and FIU's different departments (HR, accounting, purchasing, etc)

Department preferences Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Bookkeeping and/or administrative background highly desirable. Experience with PeopleSoft and Financial Edge (Blackbaud) or similar systems is a plus. Understanding of the business transactions described above, and experience with the administrative side of them. Highly organized and able to multitask. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Min. Req: High school diploma and three years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Salary Range: $25,000.00 to $30,000.00 plus Excellent FIU employee benefits

Hours: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
