Billing/Accounts Receivable Coordinator

Job Purpose:

Secures revenue by preparing, verifying, and posting billings and receipts; resolves discrepancies; contacts customers to assure timely collections.



Duties:

* Prepares and mails invoices to customers for a variety of services performed by the Company;

 

* Verifies accuracy of data used to prepare invoices;

 

* Uses tools to self-audit and bill previously missing transactions;

 

* Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, wires, and credit card transactions;


* Contacts and resolves collections by delinquent customers and payment shortages to assure timely cash remittances;


* Organizes and maintains orderly records in good business manner;


* Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from customer service and sales and marketing personnel and from customers;

* Prepares reports that summarize status of receivables;


* Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.



* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.



* Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.



Skills/Qualifications:

Detail orientation, Previous Billing Experience/ Organization, Accounting, Data Entry Skills, General Math Skills, Financial Software, Analyzing Information, Thoroughness, Reporting Research Results, Verbal Communication
