Bookkeeping Assistant

NOSAJ DISPOSABLES, INC. is one of the largest privately owned manufacturers and distributors of industrial wiping supplies in the United States. NDI has been a single source provider of thousands of products to a broad range of industries for over THIRTY YEARS. Our diverse product line encompasses industrial textiles, safety supplies, chemical cleansers, and maintenance supplies.

 

We are currently seeking a Bookkeeping Assistant for our Accounting Department.  The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

 

- Recovery of outstanding Accounts Receivables through the process of mailing collection letters and outbound phone calls.

- Keep extremely detailed notes on all phone calls and letters sent.

-Keep in constant communication with our sales force to let them know what's going on with their customers who owe money and the progress that's being made.

- Assist in entering checks into our SAP system when necessary.

- Filing as needed.

-Package samples to send to our external sales force.

-Package the commission checks that will be mailed to the sales force bi-weekly.

-From time to time, this candidate will need to go to the post office to pick up our mail and will need to go to the bank to make the daily deposit.

-Assist customer service in answering the phones and processing orders when it's busy.

 

The ideal candidate will be one who is flexible and willing to take on any responsibility given to them.  The ideal candidate will fill in wherever necessary in the company.  This person will be cross trained to do all jobs and their role will be critical in the company.  We are looking for someone who is(has):

 

-Minimum of 2-5 yrs. experience.

-Computer literate.

-Dependable and has reliable transportation.

-EXTREMELY detail oriented.

-Not interested in leaving work until the job is done.

-Some college coursework is preferred.

-Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is a MUST!!!

-Sense of urgency about them.

-A true leader.

 

The hours for this position are 8:00a.m. - 4:00p.m. Monday thru Friday.  Medical and Dental benefits available.  Salary for this position is $12 - $14/hr depending on experience.
