Who is our ideal candidate?
Our ideal candidate would possess thorough knowledge of defined contribution regulations, compliance testing (such as ADP/ACP, Top Heavy, 415, Minimum Coverage), and the preparation of Form 5500 Annual Return. In addition, candidates must have excellent relationship management, organizational, time management and communications skills.
Position Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
* Strong knowledge of defined contribution regulations, compliance testing, such as ADP/ACP, Top Heavy, 415, Minimum Coverage, and the preparation of Form 5500 Annual Return (minimum five years experience)
* Demonstrated analytical/problem solving skills.
* Ability to clearly communicate complex technical issues related to compliance testing and Form 5500 to a variety of audiences.
* Ability to handle multiple issues simultaneously.
* Knowledge of compliance testing tools, and Form 5500 preparation software.
*** NASD Series 6 Certification is required or must be obtained within 6 months of start date; additional licenses/registrations as required. ***
What are the job responsibilities?
The main responsibility of this position is to prepare and conduct compliance testing and prepare 5500 Reports for our Defined Contribution clients.
Primary Functions:
General
* Act as liaison to external and internal clients.
* Identify and resolve complex compliance, and reporting issues that develop with client plans.
Plan Discontinuances
* Facilitate corporate plans that are discontinuing services.
* Coordinate with all necessary internal/ external departments to ensure an expeditious and smooth transition.
Plan Terminations
* Assist the Sponsor and Plan Manager when a plan is terminating due to Bankruptcy, merger etc.
* Work with legal and technical services to make certain all applicable rules/procedures are followed.
Annual Compliance Testing & Filing
* Process Non Discrimination tests (ADP/ACP) for Defined Contributions, Bundled Accounts
* Prepare all schedules for the 5500 filing
* Process Top Heavy Testing
* Overtime required during peak periods.
