Business Coordinator
1.) Supply Chain Management Operation
a. Weekly and monthly item level demand forecast planning and development, periodically consulting with the immediate supervisor and Business Manager(s)
b. Purchase Contract, new item introduction and deletion, Item Maintenance and other administration
c. Efficient multiple warehouse inventory replenishment planning and purchase order administration
d. Analysis of demand patterns and trends by item
e. Pro-active production planning and coordination with suppliers based on demand patterns and trends
f. Pro-active customer distribution center inventory replenishment planning and order management (VMI - Vendor Managed Inventory environment) for multiple locations
g. Order delivery communication and facilitation between suppliers, carriers, customers and warehouse operators
h. Logistics and transportation operation and/or administration
i. Day-to-day communication with suppliers, customers, distributors and logistic partners, consulting with the immediate supervisor and Business Manager(s)
j. Other periodic requests by the immediate supervisor and/or the Business Manager(s)
2.) Billing and/or Accounting Administration
a. Preparing customer invoices
b. Reviewing, matching and approving suppliers? invoices
c. Customer payment discrepancy/deduction research and resolution
d. Customer payment collection and credit line monitoring support
e. Maintaining vendor insurance and vendor certificates
f. Other periodic requests by the immediate supervisor and/or the Business Manager(s)
3.) Business Management and/or Exception Handling Support
a. Monitor everyday by item, by location and by supplier inventory. PO(s) generation and transportation activities to assure high customer service and fill-rate at customers distribution locations
b. Research root-cause of any service level issues (I.e. Out-of-stock, excessive inventory, irregular or late shipments) and provide analysis of how to remedy for future
c. Review and develop insights into demand trends and patterns. Maintain current spreadsheets that analyze day-to-day operational activities and the aptitude to develop one?s own analysis.
4.) Project committee member such as office automation, IT and other functions periodically assigned by the company
THE PERSON
Minimum Requirements
? Must be legally permitted to work full-time in the U.S.
? Excellent and professional written and verbal communication skills required
? Excellent customer service skills
? High aptitude for numbers and data analysis, quick learner, problem-solver
? Ability to translate raw data into meaningful management reports and action plans
? Three or more years of experience in a purchasing, procurement area. (Preferably within a VMI environment)
? Familiarity with order management and replenishment software.
? Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
? Detail oriented, accurate with good organizational and time management skills
? Self-starter who takes initiative rather than waiting for instructions
? Multi-tasking ability in a complex product flow environment a must
? Ability to support a highly dynamic product mix
? Knowledge of warehousing and/or transportation a plus.
? Knowledge of National wholesale distribution a plus.
? Willingness to cross-train on complimentary positions and provide back-up support where and when needed.
Education Requirements
? Bachelor?s Degree required, with a preference for Supply Chain Management or Business Administration
