Business Process/Ops Prog Mgr.

Job Description: GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: At the Business Unit level, provides leadership in industry best practices and common processes across sites. Responsible for leading and implementing business process design or projects focused on identifying solutions to support business objectives. Acts as a consultant and business analyst for management and operations management. Interfaces with all functional areas including Finance, Program Management, Operations, Materials, Purchasing, Engineering and Human Resources. Influential in setting Business Unit and site priorities. Actively participates in defining and achieving strategic direction through decisions and actions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TYPICAL FOR MOST POSITIONS:
1. Provides leadership in the design, development and dissemination of world class processes and leading edge business solutions.
2. Establishes and maintains contact with line and staff members to monitor and report progress to meet objectives and key initiaitives.
3. Actively supports the Control Self Assessment (CSA) process.
4. Establishes and defines performance metrics for common business and manufacturing processes across multiple sites.
5. Monitors performance and financial measures across multiple sites and identifies issues that have the greatest impact to meet business objectives. As appropriate, reviews root cause analysis for non-conformance to standard business metrics and for CSI scores of 80% or less.
6. Directly contributes to strategic decisions involving the placement of new business and new product. Maintains knowledge of process and service capabilities for all sites.
7. Stays abreast of leading edge technology trends and capabilities.
8. Maintains an awareness of pending legislation and regulatory developments impacting Solectron, its products and its customers.
9. Assumes leadership role in forming and managing corporate-wide project teams.
10. May assists in identifying market segments and prospective accounts and the development and implementation of market/technology strategies.
11. Travel as required.
12. Works with client leadership team (Repair/CRM) to design strategic and tactical framework and solutions to drive best practices that apply to specific business.
13. Determines and initiates required follow-up and/or additional analyses.

Education / Experience
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible management positions with responsibility for managing significant project initiatives. MBA degree preferred.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
To perform the major job responsibilities the use of the following tools may be required: Office Skills: typing, telephones, office software to include, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation package and database systems. Must lead and direct projects and business initiatives. Has advanced process management skills associated with coordinating initiatives of significance to the organization.
