CRIME PREVENTION SPECIALIST

(Police Department)

Salary Range: $40,412 - $57,993

 

Comprehensive Benefits Package/4 Day Workweek

 

The City of North Las Vegas, the second fastest growing city in the nation, will be accepting applications for the position of Crime Prevention Specialist in the Police Department.

 

THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR CRIME PREVENTION SPECIALIST INCLUDE:

 

High school diploma or equivalent and three or more years of progressively more responsible related work experience, or any combination of education, training, and experience which provides knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the job and related to the essential functions of the position.  Examples of related experience would include: Crime Prevention Programs such as D.A.R.E., G.R.E.A.T., McGruff Truck, Neighborhood Watch, etc.

Bi-Lingual proficiency in Spanish preferred.  Must possess a valid Nevada Class C driver?s license with satisfactory motor vehicle record at time of hire/reclassification.  POST Certification preferred.

Must be able to work any shift or day of the week.
