Description:
Under general supervision, the incumbent will respond to non-routine telephone inquiries in a customer-oriented call center operations environment by following standard scripts and procedures. The incumbent will perform moderate tasks requiring comprehensive working knowledge of the Company?s products and services and as necessary, will provide work leadership to lower-level staff members. This is a senior-level position requiring extensive experience in a call center operations environment.

REPRESENTATIVE PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responds to telephone inquiries and complaints in a prompt, accurate, and courteous manner following standard scripts and procedures.

Gathers information from the caller to identify customer?s needs and determine appropriate action.

Communicates appropriate options for resolution.

Investigates and attempts to resolve complaints.

Investigates and resolves problems escalated through lower-level staff members.

Uses a computer system to research/resolve inquiries and log customer calls.

Escalates more complex issues to Supervisor/Manager as necessary.


Education and Typical Years of Experience:
High School diploma and/or equivalent experience and/or training.

3 - 5 years experience in a large-scale multi-function call center environment.


Specific Requirements:
Previous health care billing experince
Accounts payable or collections expereince
