Cashier

Summary:

The Cashier, under the direction of the Cashier Supervisor, verifies that the fee collected matches the type of application submitted, notes all discrepancies and records the amount and type of fee collected.

Specific Duties:

?  Review and batch applications.
?  Verify and cash moneys that are attached to applications. 
?  Verify that fee matches type of application. 
?  Cashier all work brought to the office, ensuring that each batch balances before beginning new batch. 
?  Assists in the preparation of daily deposit. 
?  Prepare monthly reports on armored car activities. 
?  Review re-entry batches from Communications for cashier completeness.  Review Expedite Fee (EF) batches from Mailroom.  Run daily, weekly and monthly reports for all transactions.

 

Requirements:

High school diploma (or equivalent) and:
Minimum of two (2) years experience in an office environment;
?  Minimum of two (2) years experience in a money-handling environment;
?  Minimum of two (2) years experience working with a commercial cash register and in an environment involving PC hardware and software, including LANs and WANs

Additional Requirements:

Position requires the ability to successfully complete a government background investigation; US citizenship required.
