Communications Spec

Grants Administrator - The Grants Administrator will provide administrative oversight for the U.S. and non-U.S. grant making activities of the Social Responsibility and Ethnic Outreach department. Individual will be responsibile for managing the entire administration process, managing the flow of grant request from the initial inquiry through the award or declination of a grant; managing the grant budget; and ensuring that all grant administration records are accurately maintained.

Selected candidate will manage the intake of U.S. and non-U.S. grant requests from a variety of sources, including web based submission (I-GAM). Will update and maintain every aspect of the grants database (GIFTS) throughout the grants process to ensure accurate recordkeeping. Will generate approval and decline communications to grant applicants. Prior working knowledge of Gifts and
I-GAM software a plus.

Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communication or related discipline. Experience in institutional or corporate communications with emphasis on communication analysis/planning and exposure to print and non-print media strategies preferred. Ability to study complex data and convert it into practical communication strategies. Proficient analytical, problem-solving, organization, creativity and human relations skills.
