Complex Assistant Customer Service Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:  To assist in the oversight, direction and coordination of the activities of the Complex Customer Service Team, while assisting the Customer Service Manager in areas critical to the maximization of our field sales efforts.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:  (Note:  The following responsibilities are not an exclusive or all inclusive list.  Other responsibilities may be assigned.)

 

? Assists the Complex Customer Service Manager in managing/supervising and developing the skills of all members of the Complex Customer Service Team to ensure their accuracy, personal growth and possible future advancement.  Includes periodic review of team member workloads, and work re-assignments where necessary.

 

? Assists in reviewing new customer order specifications prior to production scheduling with emphasis given to error identification and elimination.

 

? Assists with pricing.  Includes working with Estimating on prioritizing work and balancing work-load.

 

? Works with estimating on bids (e-bid, etc.) and the preparation of all documents for customer review. Includes creating a spreadsheet.

 

? Works with Operations/Production in the prioritizing, scheduling and expediting of orders.  This includes ensuring that the Complex Customer Service Team reviews the daily shipment and machine preload reports prior to entering orders.

 

? Assists in the review of all Customer Complaints and/or Quality Deficiency Reports and helps to ensure that any QDR Evaluation/Corrective action is completed by the appropriate Complex Customer Service Team member.

 

? Assists in the execution of a successful ?Warehouse Inventory Management Program.?  Includes daily review of order entry of warehouse items.

 

? Assists in the coordination of all ?new? outside fabrication pricing and pricing/sample requests, sales and customer service with Complex facilities. 

 

? Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

 

? Performs all other duties as assigned by the Complex Customer Service Manager.

 

REQUIREMENTS:  A Degree in Sales, Marketing or other related Business field with 3-5 years previous customer/sales service experience is preferred.  The individual should be highly organized, a self-directed problem solver with the ability to handle multiple tasks and conflicting priorities while exhibiting the interpersonal skills to deal with a variety of people and assignments.
