Construction Administrator - Documents and Logistics

Pittsburgh area Design/Build company has an immediate opening for a Construction Administrator.  This position is responsible for tracking and maintaining all construction drawings and documents throughout the bidding, architectural field changes and shop drawing processes. 

 

Essential duties include:

 Shipping, recording and tracking the status and issue dates of all construction documents and architectural field changes, ensuring shipping according to strict time linesMaintaining complete sets of construction drawings and specifications Coordinating the subcontractor bidding processRecording and tracking the issuance and dating of all construction documentsIssuing weekly status report of all construction documents that are out for pricing and all related proposal due datesServing as assistant for all hard-bid projectsPerforming administrative duties for Project Managers as needed

 

This position requires a high school diploma with a minimum of 2-4 years in a construction administration capacity.  The successful candidate must be highly organized and have an exceptional ability to work on multiple projects at one time while meeting strict deadlines.  This position requires interaction with Senior Management, staff and sub-contractors on a daily basis.  This position also requires above average computer skills with experience with using a database system.
