POSITION OVERVIEW

 

The construction arm of the company that works on condominium conversions, WK Development, has an immediate opening for a Construction Clerical Assistant.  The candidate we seek will have experience working in a construction company and be familiar with basic construction industry accounting, paperwork and terminology.

 

Duties will include a variety of clerical and administrative responsibilities such as reviewing invoices and preparing them for submittal to the accounting department, filing, maintaining the recordkeeping system, processing lien references and communicating with vendors.  This Assistant will also provide back-up relief on a rotational basis for the company receptionist.

 

REQUIREMENTS

? A high school diploma with some college coursework preferred

? A minimum 1-2 years of related experience in a construction company

? Intermediate to advanced proficiency with the Internet and MS Word, Excel, Access and Outlook

? Excellent customer service and oral and written communication skills

? Good organizational, record keeping, follow up and time management skills

? Strong attention to detail and ability to learn quickly and follow directions

? A stable work history

? Flexibility and adaptability in a changing and fast paced entrepreneurial environment
