The assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support principally for one person in the appraisal and commercial real estate valuation unit. The position will require assistance in the preparation of commercial real estate appraisals and litigation support.  The candidate will work closely with an Executive Vice President/Partner. The practice is in principally institutional grade properties.ResponsibilitiesOn line research of industry specific appraisal information including population and employment statistics, zoning, flood plane maps and demographicsAnswer and screening phone calls and relaying messages and information in a clear and timely manner Update, modify and maintain reports and a database of contacts and market informationConduct market research including rent and sales comparables and market surveysOrganize and assemble marketing materialsBook reservations and meetingsCollate and assemble digital, self contained appraisal reports Track appraisal billings

 QualificationsWorking knowledge of Microsoft office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Acrobat (Microsoft Access is considered a plus)Ability and willingness to work in a team oriented environmentProven organizational skills and effective time management skillsPleasant phone demeanor  Strong client service skills and tactProven ability to prioritize and multi-task Strong written and verbal communication skillsWillingness to work overtime when required

Summary:

The position although titled Administrative Assistant will require the candidate to perform more responsibility then a traditional Administrative Assistant position. However, administrative tasks are a component of the position.
