Contract Admin Specialist
Description:
Manage daily activities relative to track, sidetrack, land leases, environmental rights of entry, private road crossing and utility crossing applications over an assigned territory within the entire 23,000 mile system
Develop and implement process and procedures including standardization of documents and maintaining CAWS system
Review all applications for compliance with CSXT engineering requirements for design specification and location and protection of CSXT property interest
Negotiate with governmental agencies, industries, rail customers and individuals relative to terms and conditions of agreements
Understand standard contract language utilized in all agreements and ensure minimal risk exposure
Generate new income to support the Properties Group cash plan currently $16M annually in rental/license fees and $1.6M annually in contract preparation fees
Track agreement applications throughout process and conclude in timely manner;
Coordinate insurance provisions and requirements with Risk Management and customer
Interact with regional and division engineering forces to ensure CSXT specifications are adhered to
Coordinate and align closely with Commercial/Regional Development to work with shipping customers relative to preparation and negotiation of proposed track/sidetrack agreements
Interact with Legal Department on litigations, arbitrations and dispute resolution involving existing agreements and negotiations of new agreements

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in business, contracts or real estate preferred or equivalent experience; Experience in project management preferred;
Strong knowledge of mainframe systems, MS Office, valuation maps, &GIS
Ability to interact with all levels within CSXT and outside parties (attorneys, governmental agencies, customers, engineers, municipalities, etc)
Must be able to interpret engineering drawings and fully understand CSXT engineering specifications
Ability to manage large volume of projects with minimal direction
Excellent internal and external oral and written communication formulation and delivery
Negotiation skills critical
