Contract Associate
Summary Position provides administrative support to the Contracts Department located in Cupertino, CA. Primary responsibilities include assisting the department with administrative functions and gathering information for credentialing and re-credentialing of facilities as requested by managed care firms and third party payors. Additional responsibilities include completing contract applications, maintaining files for licensing and certification, managing third party mailings, completing operational or licensure change notifications, and assisting with contract compliance by keeping contracting entities informed of program changes.
Responsibilities
Receive and log managed care complaints; gather information to effectively submit the complaint for resolution. Such complaint may include lengths of stay or quality of care issues and other aspects associated with contracting as appropriate.
Support the contract department with external communication to contracted entities to keep informed of changes via mailings. Initiates and manages the process of mass mailings. The tasks will include tracking the information submitted to ensure the necessary changes have been completed.
Prepare, review and coordinate submission of managed care contracts credentialing and re-credentialing documents.
Track and maintain the credentialing documents for managed care credentialing applications, such as, program schedules, program descriptions and staff rosters.
Effectively interact with CRC Divisions and/or contract entities in a professional manner in order to complete daily assignments or internal projects.
Maintain files in compliance with contract filing, correspondence, and supporting documentation.
Scan and copy projects as needed.
Maintain the department supplies.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
At least two years of office work experience. Post high school education such as, Associates degree, and Business School Training preferred.
Knowledge in the practice of health care is preferred.
Excellent organizational and written communication skills.
Able to multi-task, manage deadlines and have excellent attention to detail.
Proficient in various PC-computer programs, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Sales Logix, and Outlook.
Analytical skills necessary in order to handle non-routine moderately complex administrative details, including the ability to compose, proof and edit correspondence.
Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and follow instructions and maintain a high level of professional conduct.
