Contract Specialist
Under very general direction, the Contract Specialist will independently negotiate and administer moderately complex contracts.
Independently negotiates with the customer regarding contract terminology, pricing, technical requirements and scope. Assures that actions are compliant with public law and regulation. Advises management of contractual obligations in their jurisdiction to ensure successful contract relationships with client organizations. Independently resolves problems of contract performance.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and 10+ years of directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have government contract administration experience and working knowledge of contract law and cost accounting principles. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, customer focus, negotiation skills, and an ability to work effectively on teams. Foreign contract administration experience is preferred. Must be U.S. Citizen or Permanent U.S. Resident.
