Overview of the Position



Safeway.com has an opening in the Pleasanton, CA for an Analyst in the Customer Insight department.



Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


* Work with Customer Insight Manager and internal customers to identify and define business issues and consumer research objectives.

* Design and recommend appropriate research, assist in the execution and interpretation of the results to identify key insights and providing actionable recommendations to business teams and management.

* Work closely with external vendors in the execution and analysis of research studies.

* Extract insights from vast amounts of consumer information such as surveys, focus groups and website analytics.

* Synthesize results of research studies and website metrics with other relevant information and develop business implications and recommendations.

* Ensure that research results and recommendations are factored into efforts to improve customer shopping experience and service offering.

Required Skills


* Strong interest in representing the customer?s best interests.

* Thorough understanding of marketing research principles and practices is required.

* Analytical, problem solving, and project management skills and experience.

* Ability to synthesize vast amounts of primary and secondary information into concise, actionable projects.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

* Bachelor?s degree in Business, Marketing or related field required.

* 2-5 years of experience in market research, consumer insights or analytics required.

* Experience in e-commerce or consumer packaged goods environment preferred.
