Data entry TECHNICIAN Full time position available for Data Entry in the Norfolk, VA area.

 RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The ideal Data Entry candidate will:

? Provides logistics support for US Navy?s Regional Maintenance Centers Hull, Mechanical, Electrical Readiness Assessments onboard U. S. Navy surface ships.Required to read, interpret and enter data from the Maintenance Action Form (2-K). Responsible for submitting recommended corrections to ship?s SCLSIS (Ships Configuration and Logistics Information System), supply requisitions, parts receipt, and the interpretation of CSMP (Current Ships Maintenance Project) and ICMP (Integrated Class Maintenance Plan) data.

 Serve as Team leader for 5 personnel on Hull, Mechanical. Electrical readiness Assessments and becoming proficient in utilizing current assessment software.

 Recommend configuration changes to equipment record database, validating repair parts requirements, submitting supply requisitions, tracking and expediting the shipment of materials.

 Review, interpret and analyze CSMP (Current Ships Maintenance Project) data and enter information from the Maintenance Action Forms (OPNAV 4790/2K).

 Creates work candidate bulkload disks for upload to ship?s non-tactical automated data processing system?s CSMP. Bulk-loads work candidates to the ship?s CSMP file, analyzes and makes import corrections on suspended work candidates with missing or incorrect data. Monitors work candidates to ensure successful up-line to the shore file.

 

? Interface with equipment Subject Matter Experts, Supply Officers, Chief Engineers, Program Managers, and other U.S. Government personnel.

? Assists shipboard personnel in reporting supply and maintenance support problems.  Prepares and submits through the ship?s Supply Department, Reports of Discrepancy (ROD) or Quality Deficiency Reports (QDR) regarding materials received from DOD sources with shipping, packaging, or quality defects.

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

 Knowledge of Navy systems: FEDLOG, GD-APL, Ship?s Non-tactical Automated Data Processing Programs (SNAP, and NTCSS OMMS-NG), SCLSIS (Ships Configuration and Logistics Information System) and other logistics support computer programs or web based applications to accurately process installed shipboard systems/equipment and repair parts data.

 Maintain connectivity of the computer network during ship visits by maintaining peer-to-peer network configuration while onboard naval ships, including the ability to communicate between multiple PCs, printers, CD-ROM drives and other computer peripherals as necessary.

 

? Proficiency with MS Office and ability to query documents, print and assemble Team books for assessments.
