JOB DESCRIPTION:

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that pricing and product information for direct store delivery (DSD) vendors are accurately set up and maintained as it relates to both regular and promotional pricing. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned: Collect pricing data from DSD vendors on a monthly basis, ensuring that their cost and retail pricing files and vendor maintenance files are current and accurately maintained. Set up ad and Temporary Price Reduction (TPR) promotional prices in the pricing system and ensure it is sent via the corporate bulletin system to the retail stores. Obtain product information from Regional Vice President, DSD Pricing Supervisor, Liquor Specialist, and DSD Vendors (as applicable) to set up authorized products in the pricing and vendor maintenance systems. Communicate DSD regular cost changes to the Corporate DSD pricing Supervisor and Liquor Specialist so they in turn can establish new retails that protect profit margins. Research, respond to and correct pricing errors on DSD items as notified by store associates and the accounts payable cost exception daily flag. Act as liaison between the retail stores and the Data Integrity department regarding product pricing. Communicate to retail store group regarding their DSD merchandise and pricing needs. Notify retail stores of new DSD product information.

Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/projects. Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes. Ability to work within strict time frames and resolute deadlines. Typing speed of sixty (60) WPM. Proficiency with the Microsoft? Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access). A valid driver?s license for business travel.

The following qualities are helpful: Ability to work weekends and extended days on an occasional basis. Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes. Ten-key punch speed of seven thousand (7,000) SPH.


EDUCATION:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), plus three (3) years' experience in a retail environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
