Data Analyst

The Data Analyst position is under the general supervision of the Office of Early Childhood Education for the School District of Philadelphia (SDOP).  This position is responsible for preparing statistical and narrative reports for the Directors of the following SDOP programs:  ELECT/CTC, Head Start, Bright Futures, Comprehensive Early Learning Centers, Even Start, and Parent-Child Home and participates in the analysis and interpretation of data as appropriate.  Provides any recommendations for process improvements, develops, maintains data bases and ensures quality control of data bases and web applications and assist in the development of new applications as needed by the Office of Early Childhood.

 Must have a working knowledge of SAS/SPSS required. Ability to use qualitative and quantitative data collection instruments. Computer Literate (Microsoft office, email, web). Ability to organize and prioritize work and multi task. Possess excellent communication skills (written and oral).

 

Requirements:

 A Bachelor degree in Sociology, Psychology, Information Technology and Economics or other relevant social science discipline.

 Two years experince in educational research, evaluation, educational and developmental psychology or related field.
