Job Requirements and Description

 

A minimum of 2 years of college and 5 years relevant experience (or any equivalent combination of education/experience for a total of 7 years) is required.  Proactive and tenacious individual with strong data management, expediting, communication, customer relations and coordination skills required.  Familiarity with launch vehicle avionics hardware and software terminology is desired. Experience working in the MSFC NASA environment is strongly desired.  Prior experience using NASA's collaborative engineering tool WINDCHILL a plus.

 

Other Duties:

 

Perform data management functions for the Avionics Integration Task in support of the NASA ARES Flight Test Project.  Serve as the data management coordinator for subcontractor submitted deliverables responsible for receiving Data Requirements Documents (DRDs), entering DRDs into a database, distributing DRDs to multiple NASA center project and project support personnel for review/comment, and receiving and consolidating responses in preparation for Avionics Review Board activity.  Serve as the Avionics Review Board secretariat responsible for planning and scheduling boards, recording board minutes/actions, and tracking board action items to completion.  Develop and maintain a database to manage and retain project data.
