Department Administrator

Dept: Neurosurgery This position will be responsible for providing the overall leadership and administration of all aspects of the Department of Neurosurgery. Creates an environment that enables the Institution and Departmental Mission, Customer Service Initiatives and Performance Standards of Service. Supports and encourages staff to act with appropriate authority over and responsibility for the work processes in which they are involved. Evokes a sense of ownership of and accountability for their work and stimulates them to continuously improve their performance, thereby improving the organization's performance. Key functions include: Financial Management, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Clinical Operations, in addition to Institutional and general responsibilities.

Education/Special Skills Required: Bachelors Degree typically associated with a four year University or College, CPA or MBA preferred. Professional development courses in health care management and a minimum of four years in management level of similar health care operation.
