Under minimal supervision, provides a moderate range of complex and/or non-routine clerical support for department operations. May maintain databases, perform accounting functions, or peform simple research/analysis projects. May also perform secretarial duties.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Assembles, verifies, and analyzes data using a variety of sources. Researches inconsistencies. Reports information. Develops cost estimate. Makes recommenations.
? Peforms specialized arithmetic calculations. Closes and balances ledgers. Prepares account adjustments. May audit invoices or account entries.
? Provides developmental assistance for departmental policies and administative procedures by providing accurate information and detail on current departmental policies. Reviews documents/activities for adherence in guidelines.
? Maintains logs, records and/or databases. Generates reports.
? Answers phones, screens calls, and addresses difficult or non-routine inquires. Refers calls if necessary.
? Edits, types, and prepares documents for review. Composes basic correspondence.
? Performs miscellaneous duties as directed.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma
2 years of college preferred
5 or more years of prior clerica/secretarial experiencce
Excellent reading, writing and arithmetic
Excellent organization and follow up
Accuracy and attention to detail
Bi-lingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
