DEPARTMENT ASSISTANT ? Power Division

 

Pulse, A Technitrol Company, is one of the world's largest electronic component manufacturers and a leader in passive, magnetic-based components.  Headquartered in San Diego, California, the company produces a complete line of magnetic components for use in internet/Broadband access, power, telecommunications, and other applications.

 

Tasks

 

?  Prepare correspondence, reports, agendas, performance reviews, organization charts, and presentations from hand-written notes or verbal instructions. 

?  Coordinate and schedule all travel arrangements for assigned person or depart staff members.  This includes airline, hotel, rental cars, meeting rooms, or other arrangements. 

?  May plan full events (group trips, off-site meetings, or incentive conferences). 

?  General clerical tasks and use of business office equipment including photocopying, maintaining schedules for one or more individuals, creating and maintaining file systems, faxing, coordinating meetings, opening mail and distributing correspondence.

?  Preparing and faxing purchase orders for purchasing office supplies and equipment.

?  Preparing check requests, and/or preparing expense tracking and reporting.

?  Other duties as required, which often includes special projects as assigned by department management, executive team member, or senior Pulse executive.

 

Job Qualifications

 

?  HS or GED and 2 or more years experience performing similar
administrative functions in a business environment. Associates degree
or other post-secondary specialized office management or secretarial
science preferred.

?  Experience using MS Word, Excel, Power Point at an Intermediate Level and Outlook email.

?  Ability to type 60 KSPM preferred.

?  Accurate completing forms and using business math to complete purchase orders or check check requests, etc. 

?  Ability to prioritize work activities and exhibit problem solving skills.

?  Maintain confidentiality and exhibit discretion in actions.
