Desktop Publisher

Adecco is seeking a qualified desktop publisher with strong communication skills and an interest in technology to work in a production-intensive, customer-service environment.

Responsibilities: Assists Technical Writers and other internal customers by formatting documents to company standards and preparing documentation for publication using Adobe Frame Maker and Acrobat. May also be called on to enter and verify edits, assist with the creation of electronic artwork and other similar tasks.

Must have thorough understanding of Microsoft Windows. Must be a high school graduate with additional technical classes in (or two-to-three years’ of work experience using) standard desktop publishing software, including Adobe Frame Maker, Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, and related tools. Requires excellent attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills, organizational and multitasking skills, and a willingness to provide top-flight customer-service. Must be comfortable taking directions from Technical Writers pertaining to individual projects. Must be competent with document control, proofreading, and working in a networked environment.

Candidates should have experience in installing and configuring software and/or experience installing hardware, plus good organizational skills and attention to detail.
