Editorial Assistant to $30k+ - Publisher

Job Description: Editorial Assistant to provide assistance to all departments, support the Executive Editor and the Publisher. Act as liaison between various departments/contracted employees. Book travel, lodging and travel arrangements with detailed itineraries for employees. Accounts payable, and Accounts receivable, creation of invoices and sending them out, contacting advertisers for unpaid/past due invoices, processing payroll for all employees, creating/maintaining monthly reports, trade shows - preparation and possible attendance, create and maintain contracts on file for authors, handle all subscriber correspondence and customer service, shipping - assemble and send mass mailings, handle all outgoing/incoming mail, update contact information and calendaring. Order office supplies, answer phones, filing & general office duties. Take and fulfill customer orders. Create and send letters (and prizes) to participants of the contests offered in each magazine.
