Evaluator II

Description

This position is responsible for maintaining documentation and records appropriate for reporting in compliance with funder?s policies, monitoring the performance of subcontractors, collecting data, writing qualitative reports, coordinating non-fiscal site monitoring visits, and preparing grant renewal proposals. 

 

Skills/Qualifications

The individual in this position must have excellent writing skills with the ability to submit well written reports, replication manuals, and other large manuscripts.  Knowledge of relational database design with the ability to create and maintain databases using casetools/software (Access, Excel, Teleform).  Must have the ability to problem-solve at all levels with minimal direction as well as comprehend and communicate at all levels of conceptualization. This position requires a combination of formative and outcome evaluation skills, and advanced skill level in grant management.  Masters degree in behavioral or social science, or social work required, as well as prior grant or project management and research experience in statistical techniques.  Minimum of one (1) year experience using relational and flat databases preferred.  Strong communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to work in compressed timeframes.

 

 

In addition, candidate must demonstrate ability in 1 of these 2 areas:

 

1.  Design, use and interpret both elementary (frequency, crosstabs, t-test) and intermediate (anov regression factor analysis) data analyses.  Intermediate knowledge of analytical and spreadsheet software for analysis and graphics, preferably SPSS and EXCEL.

 

2. Intermediate knowledge of spreadsheet application, preferably EXCEL. Apply mathematical operations to budget-related issues/problems.  Track grant-related expenditures. Create complex budgets to meet funder's requirements and changes in program operation.  Work with the fiscal department to assure that grant budget transactions are executed in accordance with a funder's policies. Coordinate fiscal monitoring visits of funders. Prepare and conduct fiscal monitoring of subcontractors.
